For Immediate Release: Issaquah Highlands November 21, 2014

Hand-stuffed tamales are a tradition enjoyed in Mexico for special celebrations and holidays. Labor intensive, the ladies of extended families come together for large tamale making gatherings.  Tens, if not hundreds, of tamales are made in batches; to be later enjoyed for breakfast, lunch or dinner over multiple festive days.  Tamales freeze very well and resulting are very easy to keep on hand.
Faviola Ramos, co-owner of Agave Cocina & Tequilas – Issaquah Highlands and the restaurant’s kitchen staff have made tamales by popular demand for the holidays every December since opening five years ago. This year, the new Agave – Seattle location will join in producing these limited time, popular holiday delicacies.
Available to take home in larger quantities with advance notice they are made in these holiday flavors:
Spinach - Cheese
Chicken – Vegetables*
Poblano Chili - Cheese
Sweet Pineapple – Coconut*
Agave’s meatless tamales are 100% vegetarian, all are lard-free
