Julian Ramos, owner of the popular Agave Cocina & Cantina restaurant in Redmond is opening a second location at Kent Station, (Kent, WA) in two months. The site, which is on Ramsey Way, across from The Ram and Green Valley Community College is a rustic, brick walled space with high, open ceilings defined by massive steel beams. There is a cozy bar, open kitchen and gracious interior seating. Three fire places and two year-around patios flank the entrance leading into the restaurant’s welcoming reception area.

Mexican art and handy-crafts acquired by Ramos from San Cayetano, near Guadalajara (Jalisco) Mexico, where he was born and raised will farther enhance the already attractive space. “We had been looking for an additional restaurant location for a while, Julian points out. When we open Agave Cocina and Cantina Kent Station in May; guests will enjoy Agave’s food and hand-picked sipping tequila selection in a strikingly unique setting.”

Menus items such as seasonal tamales, posole pork stew and Carne Asada are some of Agave’s signature items. The menu is free of preservatives, lard, almost 90% gluten free and organic whenever possible.

Specialty cocktails feature Agave’s impressive selection of premium, hard to find, and limited production tequilas, and highlight scratch Margaritas in fresh lime and fruit combinations.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — Seattle, WA April 29, 2015
In January of this year, Seattle chef Thoa Nguyen competed on national television. The format of this popular show pits two professional chefs against one another for the opportunity to do battle with TV personality/chef Bobby Flay. The episode featuring Chef Thoa is titled “Homeland” and will air this upcoming May 14th - check local cable provider for times.  The results of the rivalry will not be known until that time. “The experience was great. I had fun and thank everyone who made this possible for me”, says Chef Thoa. For those who haven’t met Thoa, she is seemingly mild mannered, petit, funny and exceedingly friendly by nature. Beneath her lovely façade, pulsates a competitor who can only be compared to a fierce, white tiger. Whatever the results of this encounter: Chef Thoa, the contestant, will prove to be entertaining!
